Nationwide Flatbed Service
Not all vehicles are built the same, and not all vehicles should be towed the same way. In many situations, a traditional tow truck is totally adequate for the job at hand, but DriversFirst LLC. offers flatbed towing services for when a traditional tow truck just won't do.
My car is all-wheel-drive. Does it require a flatbed tow truck?
AWD vehicles must be towed with all of the wheels off the ground to avoid causing damage to the transmission and other components of your vehicle. The safest bet, by far, is a flatbed tow truck. With your vehicle secured on a flatbed, you don't have to worry about any damage.
My car has an automatic transmission. Can it be towed with the drive wheels on the ground?
No. Once again, you are risking severe damage to your vehicle if you tow it with the drive wheels on the ground. It can be towed for very short distances at low speeds, in an emergency, but a flatbed tow truck is always the safer option. It simply is not worthy taking risks with the health of your vehicle.
Is towing rough on my car?
It all depends on the make and model of your vehicle. Many cars can be towed safely with their wheels on the ground. However, if you don't know for sure that your vehicle is on that can be towed safely, it is generally a good bet to just call for a flatbed.
My car is lowered. Can it be towed safely?
Yes, a lowered car can be towed safely. Once again, however, the safest bet is a flatbed. Flatbed tow trucks have ramps that are very close to horizontal, so there should not be an issue getting your lowered vehicle onto the flatbed.
Can you tow motorcycles?
Yes, motorcycles can be safely secured on a flatbed.
